Recently Facebook started printing my short posts in a VERY large font, so that I felt I was SHOUTING at people. I found this very annoying, and spent considerable time trying to figure out how to reduce the font size before I discovered that this was NOT my fault and that I was not the only person wondering why this was happening. It wasn’t us! It was Facebook’s way to make short posts seem more “significant”!
To avoid having this happen, you have to type more than a few words — until the font size goes back to normal. Annoying, but it works!
Below is my response, posted to Facebook in a normal-sized font:
I’m told that when your post is brief
The Facebook elves will shout it,
To amp the DRAMA up. Good grief,
THAT’S how they go about it???
So if you want a normal post
Brief’s not the way to do it.
Verbosity, will serve you most,
When you get right down to it. 😉
Thank you Facebook for the inspirational annoyance.
