Rock Opera?

October 5, 2012 by phicks2012

Gardening can be an adventure, and more exercise that visiting a gym. Today while setting out to clean up and re-till an herb bed, planning to replant mint and parsley afresh in the spring, I turned up a rock roughly the size of Gibraltar. I still haven’t managed to budge the thing, or even to get the shovel blade all the way under it. It’s a safe bet that I’d never be able to pick it up even if I managed to loosen it, and I’m thinking that extracting it might well involve a chain and some form of mechanical assistance.

Of course, any burly body-building types wishing to build up their various muscle groups are welcomed to come by and give it a go. 😉

LOL! I think I did that the last time, which is why this mega-boulder is still in the way. Nope, I need to get it out, but after digging down over a foot now I still haven’t found the bottom and Jason thinks it’s going to take the tractor to extricate the thing since that Harry Potter levitating spell doesn’t work for a mere muggle, and The Incredible Hulk doesn’t seem to be on-call, it’s either crank up the tractor, or call a real estate agent and try to sell it as develop able land, or have it declared a national monument. 😉

I know! You construct a weapon. Look around you – can you form some sort of rudimentary lathe?

There is no problem insurmountable by a judicious use of high explosives! Failing that, use a horse!

High explosive to jar it loose and then a catapult to lob the bloody thing at annoying people like meter-readers, people selling aluminum siding, and folks looking for haunted houses? Might work at that!!!! The other option is to carve the images of dead presidents into it. 😉
